The perfect suspension setup for significantly more driving dynamics
If you have already carried out initial performance modifications on your sporty street vehicle, it is easy to purposefully take these into account within the damper setup using the KW V3. The patented KW valve technology for separate adjustment of the rebound and compression stages allows you to individually adapt the vehicle-specific baseline setup from KW. For example, the KW bottom valve, which is adjustable in twelve clicks in the low-speed range of the compression stage, gives you the freedom to even account for the tire characteristics of your high- and ultra-high-performance street tires during suspension tuning.
Thanks to the patented compression adjustment at the lower piston end of the stainless steel housing, you do not even need tools for this. The adjustable compression setup with its twelve precise clicks allows you to manually influence body roll and sway movements by hand, without changing the rebound damping that perfectly matches the spring rate.
With the individually adjustable rebound setup of the KW V3, you can directly influence handling and comfort via the precise click adjustment. Depending on the vehicle type, the rebound valves of the KW twin-tube dampers are tuned at the upper end of the piston rod via an integrated adjustment wheel or the slide-on adjustment wheel included in the scope of delivery.
By increasing the rebound force via the adjustment wheel, body movements are reduced. Your car tracks more accurately and you get even more stability at high cornering speeds. For instance, if you switch from your car manufacturer's approved wheel/tire combinations to larger rims, you can use the KW V3 to perfectly coordinate the driving behavior of your car and your new alloy wheels.
